Saturday 28th April, 2012 - Novice Teams Competition
The Novice teams competition was held in Malahide Regional Bridge Club on Saturday 28th of April. It was a great success. Eleven enthusiastic and competitive teams from all over the region took part. The standard of Bridge was high and the results were very close. Congratulations to all who participated and made it such an enjoyable occasion.
This was the first time a competition of this nature was held in the region and it is hoped it will become an annual event. With so many enthusiastic novice players the future of Bridge in D.N.R. looks very bright.

Saturday 23rd March, 2012 - ‘The Gathering of Beginners’
The ‘Gathering’ is an annual event which celebrates the completion of beginner lessons and the graduation of players from bridge classes all over the Dublin North Region.
This year’s hugely successful ‘Gathering’ took place on Saturday 23rd March in Malahide Regional Bridge Club. Eighty-eight bridge beginners attended. Many of their teachers were there to welcome them and run the competition. It was a most enjoyable and sociable occasion. As well as playing Bridge, information was available regarding progressing in bridge and joining Bridge Clubs in their local areas. A great afternoon was had by all.
Congratulations to learners and teachers alike. Long may they enjoy the wonderful game of Bridge.
